Russian of the Year

The «Russian of the Year» National Award of public recognition of the Russian Federation citizens’ achievements «Russian of the Year» was established by the Russian Academy of Business in 2005. The aim of the award is the creation and propaganda of the Russian citizen image as an outstanding comprehensively developed and highly spiritual person, who by his self-sacrificing and constructive labor achieve prosperity of the country. The main goals of the award are:

- the revival of historical traditions of Russian people, as an effective form of self-realization of citizens; - to identify the most outstanding achievements of the modern Russian citizens in various branches of economy, science, education, health, arts, sports, government, and religion; - public honoring of outstanding Russians, their accomplishments and achievements. The national award «Russian of the Year» is given to the citizens who by their hard work and professionalism, intelligence and talent create the history of new Russia as a strong and independent state in the system of contemporary world economic and socio-cultural relations.

Award «Russian of the Year», as the continuation of glorious traditions of honoring the best people of the Russian Federation, is to show the heroes of our time, whose deeds deserve the same attention as the achievements of our great predecessors.
