22 th APEC Summit took place in Beijing from 4th to 11th of November 2014. The theme of the summit was “Shaping the Future through Asia-Pacific Partnership”. The week included: the meeting of APEC Business Advisory Council, concluding Senior Officials Meeting, APEC Ministerial Meeting, APEC CEO Summit and APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Beijing Summit was devoted to the discussion of how to maintain positive development dynamics in the Asia-Pacific Region in the terms of instability in the global economy.
Vladimir Putin took part in the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting . He also addressed the APEC CEO Summit and took part in the work of the APEC Business Advisory Council. On the summit sidelines Vladimir Putin had bilateral meetings with leaders of a number of countries. In addition, within the framework of his visit to China the President of Russia had talks with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, which resulted in the signing of a package of cooperation agreements.
Russian Academy of Business and Entrepreneurship, as the Russian national ABAC secretariat, took part in the work of APEC Business Advisory Council and APEC CEO Summit.
The Leaders of the 21 APEC member economies concluded their meeting at Yanqi Lake by issuing the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting Declaration - Beijing Agenda for an Integrated, Innovative and Interconnected Asia-Pacific.
The Declaration outlines new far-reaching measures for advancing regional economic integration, promoting innovative development, economic reform and growth, and strengthening comprehensive connectivity and infrastructure development, with a view to expanding and deepening regional economic cooperation, and attaining peace, stability, development and common prosperity of the Asia-Pacific.
