The 7^th Ceremony of awarding Russia's Principal Business Prize "DARIN" (Russian Business Academy Award® - 2003)

The Fifth Anniversary Assembly of the Russian Business Quarters was crowned with the Seventh Ceremony of Bestowing of the Russian Principal Business Award "DARIN"-2003 in the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre. The Darin Award was instituted in 1995 and today is the most prestigious prize in the field of the national business and enterprise

The list of the award winners is impressive and representative. The Awarding Ceremony was preceded by extensive work by the Expert Board of the Russian Academy of Business, Territorial Branches of the RAB, Presidium and Grand Selection Panel of Judges of mass media.

Special Prize of the Russian Academy of Business was awarded to V.G.Kulakov, Head of the Voronezh Region Administration; A.A.Yefremov, Head of Administration of the Arkhangelsk Region, Governor V.K.Bochkarev of Penza Region; Governor E.E.Rossel of Sverdlovsk Region; Minister E.V.Yegorov of Moscow Government and Head of Small Business Promotion and Development Department. By tradition the ceremony of awarding the best members of the national business took place on the famous scene of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre. It was a colourful and memorable action with participation of renown artists, workers of culture, prominent public and political figures and elite of the Russian business. The action was indeed a memorable event in the life of the country in the passing year of 2003.
The highest award of the business world was bestowed by: R.I.Vyakhirev, Adviser to Head of the RF President's Administration, V.M.Dombrovsky, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers), A.P.Torshin Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Academician L.I.Abalkin, Director of the Economics Institute under the Russian Academy of Sciences, L.V.Tyagachev, President of the Russian Olympic Committee, A.E.Podenok, President of Moscow Association of Entrepreneurs, People's Artists of Russia Vladimir Etush, Natalya Belokhvostikova, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Larisa Udovichenko, as well as editors-in-chief of major mass media. The Bolshoi Stars came to congratulate the best representatives of the national business: People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Matorin, People's Artist and Laureate of Russia's State Prize Ilse Liepe, USSR People's Artist, Laureate of Lenin and Russia's State Prizes Yelena Obraztsova, as well as outstanding artists of the ballet, chorus and orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. In this year the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia acted as a co-sponsor of the Seventh Solemn Ceremony of awarding the National Prize of the Russian Academy of Business-2003. The guests and laureates witnessed a genuine celebration!

On March 24, 2004 the Ceremony of bestowing the National Award "DARIN" for 2003 of the Russian Business Academy took place in the conference hall of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the Staraya Square. The prestigious award in the International Cooperation nomination was bestowed on Dr. Karl-Hermann Baumann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Aktiengesellschaft.
