The XI^th Official Ceremony of the Annual Russian Business Academy Award DARIN®-2007 (est. 1995)

On November 6, at the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre (the New Stage), the XI^th Ceremony of the Russian Business Award "DARIN"-2007 (Russian Business Academy Award®) was successfully held in Moscow.

In the solemn ceremony took part famous persons of Russian culture, prominent public and political figures, heads of non-governmental organizations and cultural institutions and also majour representatives of Russian business community. Mikio Sasaki, Chairman of the board of the Mitsubishi Corporation, was awarded as DARIN laureate in nomination International cooperation. M. Sasaki, head of the largest transnational corporation, has visited Moscow for participation in solemn granting ceremony.

• Among laureates of the Award in this year were:
  • Oleg Korolev, the Lipetsk region Governor;
  • Patricia M. Cloherty, Chairman and Co-Managing Partner, Delta Private Equity Partners;
  • Bob Foresman, Deputy Chairman, Renaissance Capital Group;
  • Delyara Makarova, Managing Director, Arkady Novikov Group of Companies;
  • Merab Yelashvili, President, Joint Stock Company Brothers and Company;
  • Aleksandr Ioffe, President, Russian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises;
  • Aleksandr Gafin, Member of the Board, Joint Stock Company “Alfa-bank”;
  • Ivan Obolentsev, Chairman of the Board, Russian agroindustrial corporation Ltd.
  • Tatyana Kirillova, General Director, Russian transcontinental financial and industrial corporation.

The laureates of the Award were warmly greeted by well-known actors, painters, public and political figures: Mark Zakharov, National Artist of Russia, Art Director «Lenkom» Theatre, Aleksandr Torshin, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the RF, Svetlana Vragova, National Artist of Russia, Art Director of "Modern" Theatre, Vyacheslav Starshinov, merited sport master, merited trainer of Russia, twice olympic champion, repeated world champion, Aleksandr Murychev, First executive Vice-president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Pavel Lungin, script writer and producer, Irina Viner, merited trainer of Russia, Yuriy Roslyak, First Deputy Governor of Moscow, Nikas Safronov, famous painter, Sergey Prokhanov, merited Artist of Russia, Art Director of «Luna Theatre» and others.

The best stars of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre, in honour of the laureates, presented unforgettable show on the new stage. The guests as well the Award laureates became the participants not only of the true triumph of the Russian business but classical art also.
