Section meeting No 1
Selection of high-priority investment fields in Russia:
a study of current opportunities and large-scale long-term
projects.
An analysis and evaluation of the presently established
framework of business co-operation between Russian companies
and Asian-Pacific partners will be performed. Also,
there will be elaborated forecasts for prospective projects,
risk evaluation and definition of high-priority investment
trends. Other connected topics will include facilitation
of administrative barriers and perfection of legal framework,
the problems related to easing customs and frontier
control in transportation of goods. Finally, infrastructural
investments and development of co-ordination between
different structures and organizations that are responsible
for boosting business activity of investors will be
discussed.
Section meeting No 2
Competitive advantages of Russian Far East and Eastern
Siberia regions in the development of inter-regional
production links.
The topics to be discussed are as follows: effectiveness
of use of the existing resources and transportation
directions; The present situation and problems of development
of trade and co-operation in border-adjacent area; Development
of co-operation in innovation and technical management:
an experience of regional centers for scientific and
technical development; Economic models of effective
collaboration with Asian-Pacific countries.

Co-operation between small and medium business agents:
prospects of intensification of economic co-operation
between Russia and Asian-Pacific countries.
The following main topics will be discussed: Development
of economic co-operation within Asian-Pacific Economic
Community and the opportunities for Russian companies
to join communitarian industrial and technological exchange;
Participation of small and medium companies in introduction
and commercialization of new technologies and production
methods; Main directions of mutually beneficial collaboration
and prospective projects.
Section meeting No 4
Development of viable information basis for economic
co-operation in the Asian-Pacific region.
The main topics of this workshop will be the following:
Prospects of development of economic exchange and establishment
of common information space; The problems of creation
of a modern information portal capable of supplying
up-to-date and well-systematized information about the
current state of markets, investment activity, business
trends and peculiarities of business practices in Russia
and Asian-Pacific countries; Establishment of information
and consulting bodies.

Section No 1
The prospects of increasing the investment activity in development
of regional fuel and energy sphere. Topics of discussion: Collaboration
in fuel and energy and oil and gas infrastructure projects’
delivery; The possibilities to form new energy configuration
and provide the energy safety for the Asian-Pacific region for
Russian Federation; prospects of creation and exploitation of
inter-state electricity and energy systems. Place of holding
(preliminary): OAO (Open Corporation) “Surgutneftegaz”.
Section No 2
The ways of increasing investment attractiveness of Russian
transportation and communication projects. Topics of discussion:
Analysis and evaluation of the present degree of collaboration
between Russia and Asian-Pacific countries in the above-mentioned
spheres; Advantages of Russia as a natural link in «East-West»
economic collaboration scheme; Priority directions in development
of inter-state transportation directions and implementation
of effective transportation technologies. Place of holding

Priorities of implementation of scientific
and edge-cutting technological know-how in the industrial co-operation
between Asian-Pacific and Russian companies. Topics of discussion:
Development of international satellite telecommunication systems;
Modern energy production methods; air, space, laser and information

Section No 4
Russia — Asian-Pacific region: the role of banking
in economic collaboration and trade. Inter-bank collaboration
in financing large-scale regional projects. Topics of discussion:
Crediting conditions; Special financing opportunities; Implementation
of partnership programs; Collaboration with international banking
structures; Implementation of common information standards.

Section No 5
Common projects in inter-regional tourism development. Topics
of discussion: Tourist potential of Russian Far East; Creation
of historical, educational, ecological, balneal and other
tours of special interest for the tourists from Asian-Pacific
