THE REGULATIONS
on the Russian National "Business-Olympus. DARIN" Award
for business undertaking

The Russian National "Business-Olympus. DARIN" Award was instituted by The Russian Academy of Business and the International Journalist Association ASMO-Press for enterprises, companies, public organizations and natural persons who have made the biggest contribution to the development of business undertakings on the territory of the Russian Federation.

1. Contest participants

Organizations and business structures which are registered and function on the territory of the Russian Federation can participate in the contest. The indispensable conditions for participation in the contest are outstanding results in business undertaking, stainless business reputation, involvement in social and charity programmes.

2. Contest participants. Selection criteria

Contest selection is carried out by the Analytic Centre of the International Journalist Association ASMO-Press, members of the Award Advisory Panel and representatives of regional divisions of The Russian Academy of Business with the purpose of determining best representatives of the Russian business world, representing commercial structures, state and public organizations which have made the biggest contribution to the development and promotion of national business undertaking.

The Advisory Panel is an independent public body which includes a number of prominent Russian entrepreneurs, state figures, scientists, representatives of public associations and mass media.

The Advisory Panel sets up selection criteria and quotas for claimants in each nomination. Positive impact of each nominee or a structure he represents upon the business life in the Russian Federation is also taken into account.

Not only economic "weight" of a competitor and his significance in the All-Russian scope, but also his moral and ethical image in community and in the sight of the Advisory Panel and the Presidium of The Russian Academy of Business is considered in the process of developing selection criteria for nominating future laureates of "Business-Olympus. DARIN" award.

3. A procedure of selecting contenders claiming the Russian National "Business-Olympus. DARIN" Award for Business Undertaking

The Analytic Centre of the International Journalist Association ASMO-Press arranges primary collection of information about potential contenders. At this stage an initial group of contenders in each of established nominations is formed.

Not later than 30 days before the first session of the Advisory Panel, the Analytic Centre submits preliminary rolls of contenders to be discussed by members of the Advisory Panel and managers of regional divisions of The Russian Academy of Business.

Members of the Advisory Panel and managers of regional divisions of The Russian Academy of Business assess award contenders using a five-point scale and send the results of their work on a special form to the Analytic Centre of the International Journalist Association ASMO-Press.

The Analytic Centre of the International Journalist Association ASMO-Press sums up the obtained results and carries out proportional candidate sifting, reducing a list in each nomination to 10 nominees.

At subsequent stages selection of contenders is done at the sessions of the Advisory Panel of The Russian Academy of Business. As a result of the work done by the Advisory Panel, a final list of nominees is formed (three contenders in each nomination) no later than 20 days before the official date of "Business-Olympus. DARIN" award presentation.

A report on the completion of the Advisory Panel procedures and names of all claimants to "Business-Olympus. DARIN" award are announced at the special press-conference and through mass media.

A final list, including three contenders in each nomination is further submitted for expert examination to members of the Presidium of The Russian Academy of Business. Presidium members determine the winner of "Business-Olympus. DARIN" award in each nomination, leaving one laureate in each of the suggested nominations.

Filled out forms signed by members of the Presidium of The Russian Academy of Business arrive in sealed envelopes to the Guild of Russian Attorneys (GRA) for final review. GRA members unseal envelopes and count votes of Presidium members in favour of each nominee.

Not later than three days before the official date of presenting "Business-Olympus. DARIN" award final results of the contest selection carried out by members of the Presidium of The Russian Academy of Business in the form of a final protocol are submitted to the Advisory Panel for approval.

The names of winners are announced during a solemn ceremony of decorating laureates.
